Skador på Umeå BSKTs guarder Guim Expósito och Jonathan Peleg gör att klubben nu valt att ta in Omar Krayem som ersättare under tiden. Krayem som är väl bekant med klubben och staden ansluter med ett korttidskontrakt.
Omar Krayem, 186 centimeter, började säsongen i Superettan och Team4Q där snittade han 37 minuter, 28 poäng och 8 assist innan serien pausades på grund av den ökade smittspridningen. När Krayem landar i Umeå under onsdagseftermiddagen återförenas han inte bara med staden utan även med sin gamla lagkamrat Germain Jordan som nyligen också återvänt till klubben.
Huvudtränare Boris Balibrea om läget just nu:
“Everyone has said from the start that this would be a weird season for all the teams. But what we did not know that we would have so many inconveniences. Since we had COVID19 in the team, we have not had time to practice at all and prepare for the games to come. Also, we had to introduce all the systems to Germain, and this has made us not progress as we would have liked. Now, in addition to Peleg's injury, we also have Guim who was injured in the last game against Köping. Both will be out indefinitely. We will have to go week by week and see when they can join the team. This is the reason why we have decided to sign Omar temporarily. He is a player who knows the Club and Germain, with whom he played in the USA and in Umeå in his previous stage. I have had several conversations with Omar and he is ready to help our young people to grow up and compete. I'm very grateful to Omar for the desire he has shown to come and help us and I'm convinced that he will be a great help for us. I'm looking forward to him meeting the team and working together. #stepbystep”
Umeå BSKT vill rikta ett stort tack till Team4Q som har gått med på att släppa Krayem för spel i Umeå.

Klubben valde även under veckan att bryta kontraktet med Munachiso Okonkwo som åkte hem under måndagen.
